    1. I read the first book of this series a while ago and enjoyed it. This sequel didn't let me down. A down and out Private Investigator is offered a lot of money to find out what happened to a young woman who died falling off a cliff at the property of a cultish group. The hardboiled PI barges in, ogles the women, offends almost everyone, but somehow manages to solve a few crimes in the process. Just a good old fashioned PI story in the tradition of old Bogart movies.

    2. Pretty goodAn interesting, complicated to solve. I didn't like asny of the characters, particularly the detective. He's too much of a smartass.

    3. Not badI thoroughly enjoyed the first book and was so looking forward to this one but it fell a little short of Goodey's Last Stand. There was a lot of humor here but the story didn't flow as smoothly.
