After-School Football

Forest Park’s after-school football club supplements the skills learned during Friday’s games sessions and allows for further coaching of our representative team which takes part in the Sale and Partington Small Schools League.

Drills based on the Dutch Coerver Coaching method are taught and practised in enjoyable small-sided settings using footballs of various sizes and weights.

These sessions take place on Wednesday evenings throughout the first two terms between 3.45 and 4.30.

After-School Cricket

 During the Summer Term, the after-school cricket club allows for reinforcement of skills and the participation in a skills award scheme sponsored by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Sessions also take place with the school’s co-educational Kwik Cricket team which takes part in the annual competitions at Hale Barns Cricket Club.

These sessions take place on Wednesday evenings throughout the Summer Term between 3.45 and 4.30.  

Lacrosse at Forest Park

One of the most spectacular sights in sport is surely that of a lacrosse ball being propelled at great speeds over prodigious distances. With the North-west of England being one of the hotbeds for lacrosse, it is no surprise that the sport is flourishing at grassroots level where it is known as ‘pop lacrosse’. Lacrosse has become an important element in the school’s PE programme.

Forest Park’s links with Brooklands Lacrosse Club have seen representative teams being invited to local and regional tournaments. Extra coaching is offered on an after-school basis to the Lower School (at school) and to the Upper School at Brooklands where instruction is given.

These sessions take place on Friday for Lower School and Fridays 3.45 – 4.30 for Upper School.

 Swimming

Congratulations!

After finishing first place, in both of the events, at the regional championship, yet again, our Forest Park swimming team, has succeeded in reaching the national finals of the ESSA at Pond's Forge in Sheffield. 

We are extremely proud of their team work and good conduct. We also wish them every success as they proceed to the national championship.

After-School Tennis

Here at Forest Park School, tennis lessons are offered after school by our DCA licenced coach - Simon Mitten. He is fully CRB checked and First Aid trained. He follows a structured program to develop and build co-ordination skills.

Lessons take place on a Tuesday after school for years 1 and 2. If your child is interested in taking tennis lessons, please contact our school secretary.
