Welcome to the Year 4 class page

Year 4 is an exciting year at Forest Park. The children move up to the top of the school building, giving them an added sense of responsibility. We undertake lots of creative and practical projects, including making stuffed toys in design and technology, and investigating the lives of the Vikings and ancient Greeks by analysing primary sources, such as documents and artefacts. Of course, there is also a focus on developing the children’s skills in literacy, mathematics and problem-solving. For example, the children build on the basic knowledge of grammar and sentence structure that they gained in Year 3 and develop sophistication in their writing.
