Computing

Ensuring your child learns what they need to progress.

Computing

Take a look at our Computing curriculum.

We believe that our students should have the opportunity to follow an IT and Computing curriculum that prepares them for life in modern Britain and take advantage of opportunity this can offer them in both Britain and the wider world.

Good quality IT skills enable student to engage positively within the modern work place, while Computer Science skills enables students to take an active part in the design, development and creation of new technologies to be used in the world in which they live.

All of our students will have a chrome book and learning experiences across the curriculum will include use of ICT. A skill for the modern world, our students will be competent in the safe use of IT systems.

Literacy is at the core of our curriculum. A life skill, and one of our golden threads we actively teach vocabulary and reading through all subject areas.

We provide a broad range of skills and experiences at KS3 which are then further developed as students enter KS4.  All students will study functional ICT .Core IT at KS4 is delivered to all students through a series of drop down days, whilst computing and digital media are an option.
