Students had the exciting opportunity to welcome professional radiographer, Sian, into school, where they learned all about this fascinating and important career. The session gave a real insight into what it’s like to work in healthcare, from using imaging technology to help diagnose patients, to the skills and qualifications needed for the role.
Sian shared personal experiences from her job, helping students understand both the challenges and rewards of working in this field. It was especially interesting to hear how science and technology come together to make a difference in people’s lives every day.

To make the session even more engaging, students took part in a hands-on activity where they were challenged to correctly place bones of a skeleton. This interactive task was both fun and educational, encouraging teamwork and testing their knowledge of human anatomy.
Overall, the visit was a great success, leaving students inspired and more informed about potential future career paths in healthcare.
