Students recently took part in an engaging handwashing session led by NHS staff, helping them understand just how important good hand hygiene is for staying healthy. The session began with a discussion about germs, how they spread, and why washing our hands properly is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent illness.
After learning the correct handwashing technique, students put their skills to the test. Using a special UV light and hand gel, they were able to see areas they had missed while washing. The glowing patches under the UV light sparked plenty of surprised reactions and helped reinforce why careful, thorough handwashing matters.

The session was both fun and educational, leaving students with practical skills they can use every day. A big thank you to the NHS team for delivering such an informative and memorable experience.
